Podcast of the Year!
Posted on January 15, 2007
The venerable Jon Hicks just called The Garrett Murray Podcast podcast of the year for 2006, beating out The Show with Ze Frank and Ask a Ninja. We love The Show and Ask a Ninja, so to be mentioned in their company alone is great news, but to be called the best is truly an honor. He writes:
When I finally got to meet Garrett and Shawn at @media, I had no idea that they were podcasting together, but I’m glad I found out. Most of my favourite moments are summed up in the End of year best of, especially Shawn's relaxation tape.
Thanks very much, Jon!

Episode 8
Posted on September 04, 2006
It's going to be hard to believe, but we're finally releasing a new episode after a massive (and yet again unplanned) hiatus. It's been nearly three and a half months since episode 7 was released.
You'll notice that this episode is a little shorter than previous episodes. What we've realized is that releasing 30-minute podcasts regularly is immensely difficult and causes us to get bogged down by it—we end up not releasing at all. And so, from here on out, episodes might be shorter, longer, whatever length they end up. We're going to focus on releasing podcasts with quality content on a regular basis, and that might not always mean 30 minutes.
I'm also planning a redesign of this website to better fit the podcast and give easier access to past episodes and more.
As always, you can subscribe to the podcast using any of the links on your right. And, if you really want to, you can download this episode directly in MP3 format (16.6MB) or in M4A format (17.1MB). The M4A version is enhanced with chapters and images (but requires iTunes).

Episode III
Posted on February 03, 2006
After a long two weeks, Episode III is finally available. You'll find out why we had an unexpected hiatus when you listen to the podcast, but suffice it to say that I was sick and now I'm feeling better.
My guest for this week is, once again, Shawn Morrison. The show runs just under 30 minutes (this seems to be about the average length of each episode), so get downloading and send us feedback! I've set up a new email address for podcast feedback: podcast at garrettmurray dot net
Also, if you're an iTunes subscriber, it would be great if you took a moment to rate the podcast at the iTunes Music Store. Thanks!
